For a number of years now, false lashes have become one of my favourite things to wear. I’m not allowed to wear lashes to work due to working in hospitality, but I very rarely leave the house for a night out/special occasion without a pair of lashes on my eyes. Kiss has been a brand I’ve known about for many years now – one of my first “holy grail” pairs of eyelashes was actually the Look So Natural “Iconic” lashes from the brand. If you fancy a throwback to three years ago, you can read my review of the range here! For now though, I’ll be talking about Kiss’ new line of lashes – the Lash Couture Faux Mink range. Kiss got in contact a few weeks ago asking if I’d like to try them – of course, being a total lash junkie, I jumped at the chance.
Kiss sent me the lashes in 3 different styles – “Gala”, “Midnight” and “Little Black Dress”. I also went to the PixieLottXKiss party on Tuesday night, where I received these lashes again in my goody bag, alongside “Boudoir”. In total, there are six different styles in the Lash Couture range, and all of them are pretty full lashes – very glamorous.
I’d say these lashes, for me personally would be best for evenings out as they are very dramatic, but stunning too. The best thing about these lashes is how lightweight they are – they’ve got a weightless feel to them despite their dramatic appearance. When I first tried them, I noted how thick the band is – I usually like quite a thin, discreet band, but the band on these is a lot thicker – but this isn’t a bad thing as I found they still go on great for me.
I’ve seen so many mink lashes around lately, but I’ve never really felt an urge to try them due to the price tag – I’m really not a fan of paying £20+ for lashes, so at around £8 a pair, these ones are a much more purse-friendly option. They feel really good quality – I find Kiss lashes are always soft with a “real feel”, they don’t feel overly fake. I wore them out in London a couple of days ago (see them on me on my Instagram) and I almost forgot I was wearing them!
As I mentioned earlier, I went to the Pixie Lott x Kiss party on Tuesday – Pixie is the new brand ambassador for Kiss so to celebrate, Kiss threw a blogger party! It was awesome. Pixie has stated that the Lash Couture lashes are her favourite – she said that they’re “easy to apply, cruelty free with a mink effect making them really lightweight and fluttery”. Pixie loves these too!
Kiss Lash Couture lashes are available in store now from Superdrug, or to find out more you can visit Kiss’ website HERE.
Have a great week!
** I was kindly sent these lashes by Kiss to review, but my views are 100% honest.
